We are about to embark upon another travel adventure, but this time we will only venture a few thousand kilometres. On Monday we drive to Devonport and take the Spirit of Tasmania to Melbourne. From there we start a driving holiday that will take us across Victoria to South Australia.
We are both looking forward to this holiday as we always enjoy driving and discovering new parts of Australia. And I, for one, am pleased we don't have to go anywhere near an airport! We will visit the Barossa and Clare Valleys, and hopefully McLaren Vale in addition to the Yorke Peninsula, and I'll be able to visit the graves of some of my Alderman ancestors at Balaklava.
But before we leave there are two very important events we need to see! Tomorrow, the AFL Grand Final featuring my beloved Hawks (GO HAWKS!!); and on Sunday the NRL Grand Final featuring Jim's Broncos. Fortunately we are both Cowboys fans so either way - GO QUEENSLAND!!
