Its been quite a while since I wrote a blog - Christmas and New Year tend to limit the amount of time any of us has at this time of the year.
So, this time next week we will be on our way to Christchurch where we will embark on several weeks of driving around both the south and the north islands of New Zealand.
When researching for this trip I looked for attractions and activities that would be different to those at home (eg. not sheep farms or cool climate vineyards). So, amongst others, I chose two rail journeys (Tranzalpine and Taieri Gorge), glow worm caves with an underground river, a castle, Antarctic Centre, an Art Deco festival and a Giant's House.
New Zealand might be just 'across the ditch' but there's plenty for us Aussies to see and do. Roll on Friday 27 January and look out for my blogs!
